Antonia Williams is a journalist and communications professional with a particular interest in conflict, asymmetric warfare, air power, emerging technologies and geopolitical risk.

She holds an MA in War Studies from King's College London, where she focused on conflict, strategy and security studies. She has written on politics, security and social issues in Lebanon for the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) in Milan.

Based in Beirut from 2017 to 2021, she was regional editor and breaking news editor at the Lebanese English-language newspaper The Daily Star. She also covered Lebanon's anti-government protests, political and economic tensions, and the Beirut port explosion for Beirut Today.

Her reporting has focused on conflict, political instability, migration, human rights and the social impact of economic crises across the Middle East and Europe. She has also written on the coronavirus outbreak in Italy and broader geopolitical developments in the region.

Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Asia Times, Open Democracy and ISPI. She has also appeared on Italy's Rai state television and La7, reporting on the Beirut port explosion.

Prior to Beirut, she worked at the Center for American Studies in Rome, where she coordinated conferences on geopolitics, international diplomacy, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and worked extensively with the US Embassy in Rome on high-level policy discussions and roundtables.

Today, she works in strategic communications, advising organisations on complex legal, regulatory and geopolitical issues. Alongside her professional work, she maintains a particular interest in conflict, strategy, asymmetric warfare and the changing character of modern warfare.
